About the Performer

DeRay Davis is a powerhouse comedian and actor from Chicago's South Side whose explosive, street-smart humor has made him one of the most electrifying live performers in stand-up comedy today.

His rise to fame began at Atlanta's Laffapalooza Festival, where Hollywood first took notice. He went on to win the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and earned coveted spots at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. His Netflix special DeRay Davis: How to Act Black was so popular it reportedly crashed the Netflix server twice upon release.

On screen, DeRay has appeared in blockbusters including 21 Jump Street, Barbershop 1 & 2, Scary Movie 4, Old Dogs, and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. He's also a familiar face on television, with roles in Empire on FOX, Snowfall on FX, and multiple seasons of Wild 'N Out. He even wrote and performed comedy skits on two Kanye West albums and performed at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
