About the Show

The Setup at The Palace Theater is an award-winning stand-up comedy showcase held in a hidden speakeasy beneath San Francisco's Chinatown. Voted the #1 Comedy Show by SF Standard, this intimate series features a rotating lineup of local legends and touring professionals — including comedians with Netflix, HBO, and Amazon specials — performing in a room that holds just 90 people.

Lineups are unannounced, so you never know who will take the stage. The Setup has been producing stand-up comedy in San Francisco for over ten years and has been featured in SF Weekly and the Secret San Francisco Network.
