Shuler King LIVE at Minglewood Hall

About the Performer

Shuler King — born Frank Williams III in Sumter, South Carolina — is one of the most electrifying and uniquely compelling comedians working today. With a background that spans both comedy stages and funeral homes, King brings a one-of-a-kind perspective to stand-up that audiences simply cannot find anywhere else.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Media Arts and a degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton Jones Mortuary College, King is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who moonlights as a touring comedian. His comedy is raw, honest, and deeply relatable — drawing from faith, family, Southern upbringing, and the full spectrum of human experience.

King has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy and has built a massive social media following thanks to his viral videos. His Tubi special has introduced him to millions of new fans, and his live shows consistently earn 5-star reviews. As one fan put it: "He had the audience in his hand the minute he arrived on stage."
