About Sam Jay

Sam Jay is one of the most exciting and critically acclaimed voices in stand-up comedy today. A two-time Emmy-nominated writer and performer, Jay is best known as the host and executive producer of HBO's weekly late-night series Pause with Sam Jay, and as a former writer on Saturday Night Live. Her comedy is sharp, fearless, and deeply personal — blending social commentary with raw honesty and a uniquely Boston-bred perspective.

Jay co-created and co-starred in the Peacock series Bust Down and has released two acclaimed stand-up specials: Sam Jay: 3 in the Morning on Netflix and Sam Jay: Salute Me Or Shoot Me on HBO. Her solo show We The People earned a nomination for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and won The Uprise Award for shows that dare to provoke and reframe discussions.

Originally from Boston and now splitting her time between New York and Atlanta, Jay has become one of the most sought-after comedians on the touring circuit. Her Denver Improv run is a rare chance to see one of comedy's brightest stars in an intimate club setting.
