Michael Blackson LIVE at Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club

About the Performer

Michael Blackson — known worldwide as "The African King of Comedy" — is one of the most original and electrifying stand-up comics performing today. Born in Ghana and raised in Philadelphia, Blackson developed his razor-sharp comedic style in the tough comedy clubs of the City of Brotherly Love, drawing inspiration from legends like Eddie Murphy.

His breakout moment came when Ice Cube spotted him performing at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and cast him in the smash hit film Next Friday. That unforgettable performance launched a career that has spanned HBO's Def Comedy Jam, BET's ComicView, Showtime at Harlem, and P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy. Blackson's signature Dashikis and booming stage presence make him instantly recognizable — and absolutely unmissable live.

His comedy blends sharp cultural observations, outrageous storytelling, and a fearless delivery that leaves audiences in tears. Whether you've seen him on screen or heard him on the radio, nothing compares to experiencing Michael Blackson live on stage.
