About the Performer

is a multi-talented comedian, actor, writer, and producer who has been making audiences laugh for decades. A St. Louis native, Torry has appeared on BET’s Comic View, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Showtime at the Apollo, and Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam, where he made his national stand-up debut.

On the big screen, Torry is best known for his memorable role in American History X alongside Edward Norton. He has also appeared in Pearl Harbor, Life, Runaway Jury, Don’t Say a Word, and Stuck on You with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear. He hosted the enormously successful 52-city comedy tour The Kings of Comedy, which grossed over $37 million.

A veteran of the stand-up circuit, Torry brings a smooth, storytelling style to the stage that blends personal anecdotes with sharp observations about life, relationships, and culture. His shows are warm, funny, and deeply entertaining.

About the Venue

Raleigh Improv is the Triangle area’s premier comedy club, located in Cary’s Parkside Town Commons. Part of the nationally recognized Improv comedy club chain, this venue offers an intimate, club-style atmosphere that is perfect for stand-up comedy.

The showroom features general admission seating with host-escorted placement, a full bar, and a two-item minimum per guest. Premium booth seating is available for groups of four, complete with a $200 food and beverage credit. The venue is 21+ for all shows.

Parking is available in the Parkside Town Commons shopping center lot. The venue is easily accessible from US-1 and I-540, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops for a complete night out in Cary.
