About the Performer
Damon Wayans Jr. is an American actor, comedian, and writer who has become one of Hollywood’s most beloved multi-hyphenate talents. Best known for his role as Coach on the hit Fox series New Girl and as Brad Williams on ABC’s Happy Endings — for which he earned a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor — Wayans Jr. has proven himself both on screen and on stage.
In 2014, he starred in the comedy film Let’s Be Cops and voiced Wasabi in Disney’s Big Hero 6, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. He made his film debut in his father’s 1994 film Blankman and later served as a staff writer on My Wife and Kids.
As a stand-up comedian, Wayans Jr. has been selling out theaters and casinos across the country. He garnered a standing ovation during his debut on Def Comedy Jam and has continued to build a devoted live comedy following. His comedy is sharp, personal, and deeply funny — drawing from his famous family, Hollywood life, and everyday experiences.
