About the Performer

Adam Burke is a British-born comedian who has made Chicago his comedic home for nearly a decade. Originally from the UK by way of Australia, Burke has become one of the most respected and versatile stand-up comedians on the Midwest circuit, known for his sharp wit, intelligent observations, and effortlessly engaging stage presence.

A regular panelist on NPR’s beloved quiz show Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Adam has also appeared on the podcasts Doug Loves Movies and The Benson Interruption, the Bob and Tom Show, and WGN 720 AM radio. He was voted Best Standup by readers of The Chicago Reader in 2014 and won Second City’s Up Next Comedy Competition.

Adam has opened for comedy heavyweights including Marc Maron, John Mulaney, Hannibal Burress, Aziz Ansari, John Oliver, Tracy Morgan, and many more. His debut album Universal Squirrel Theory was released on A Special Thing Records in 2012.
