About the Performer

is one of the most celebrated stand-up comedians in the world, named by Rolling Stone as one of the 50 Best Comics of All Time.

Born in Toronto to Indian immigrant parents, Peters began performing stand-up at age 19 at open mics across Canada. He spent 15 years honing his craft before exploding onto the global stage with his 2004 CTV “Comedy Now!” special.

Peters became the first comedian to sell out Toronto’s Air Canada Centre in 2007, and went on to break attendance records at Madison Square Garden, the Sydney Opera House, and London’s O2 Arena. He was also the first comedian to create a Netflix Original Comedy Special. His most recent special, “Act Your Age” (2023), continues his legacy of sharp, multicultural humor.

His comedy blends fearless observations about race, culture, family dynamics, and the immigrant experience — delivered with razor-sharp timing and legendary crowd work that makes every show feel unique and spontaneous.
