About the Performer
Maria Bamford is one of the most original and fearless comedians working today. Revered for her deeply personal and experimental comedy about mental illness, she has built a devoted following through her unflinching honesty, surreal humor, and extraordinary range of voices and characters. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult.
Bamford is the star of four hour-long stand-up specials — Local Act, Weakness is the Brand, Old Baby, and Maria Bamford: the special, special, special! — and the creator and star of the surreal, semi-autobiographical Netflix comedy series Lady Dynamite. She was the first female comic to have two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials.
Her prolific voiceover career includes characters on Big Mouth, Bob’s Burgers, Bojack Horseman, Adventure Time, and many more. Her late-night appearances include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Tonight Show.

Maria Bamford’s live shows are unlike anything else in stand-up comedy. She weaves together personal stories about mental illness, family, and everyday life with a dazzling array of character voices and surreal tangents that somehow always circle back to something deeply true and funny. Her comedy is simultaneously vulnerable and hilarious.
This is a solo headlining show. Expect approximately 75–90 minutes of boundary-pushing, deeply human comedy from one of the most unique performers in the business. Fans of her specials and Lady Dynamite will not be disappointed.
