About Marcella Arguello
Marcella Arguello is an actor, writer, and stand-up comedian with nearly twenty years in the game. In 2025, she joined the cast of Abbott Elementary on ABC as the new guidance counselor Ms. Alomar, and was crowned champion of After Midnight on CBS. She can also be seen on Season 2 of Poker Face on Peacock.
Her debut HBO Max half-hour special Bitch, Grow Up. (2023) was praised by Decider as a moment she “has earned,” and by Latin Media for “ruffling feathers while delivering a routine that feels absolutely joyous.” Her debut album The Woke Bully debuted at #3 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and was named one of the Best Comedy Albums of 2019 by NPR. Vulture named her a comedian to know, and MSN listed her among the top female comedians working in film and TV today.
