About the Performer
DeRay Davis was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and his hip, sardonic, streetwise mentality — developed at an early age — has been the foundation of one of the most successful comedy careers in the business. He achieved his career breakthrough at the Laffapalooza Festival in Atlanta, then scored a triple whammy by winning the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and landing coveted spots at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and the Cedric the Entertainer Festival.
DeRay is best known for his roles in the blockbuster hit 21 Jump Street, Jumping the Broom, and his wildly successful Showtime one-hour comedy special DeRay Davis: Power Play. He has also appeared in Barbershop, Barbershop 2, Semi-Pro, and on television series including Entourage and Reno 911!. He lends his voice and writing talent to characters on Kanye West’s albums, The Boondocks, and Adult Swim’s Black Dynamite.
His comedy is rooted in his personal experiences growing up in Chicago’s south side projects, weaving together vulgar and droll, yet deeply personal, routines around race, poverty, and family. DeRay’s shows are high-energy, hilarious, and completely unforgettable.

Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club is San Antonio’s premier stand-up comedy destination, conveniently located in Park North Plaza at Loop 410 and Blanco — just inside the loop and only a few miles from the airport.
The club features a full bar lounge where guests can grab a drink before the show, and a comfortable showroom with first-come, first-served seating. Preferred Tables are located center stage for the best views, while General Admission tables are positioned on the sides and wings.
There is a 2-item food or beverage minimum per person once seated, and an 18% service charge applies to all checks in the showroom. Early arrival is strongly recommended to secure your preferred seating.
