About the Performer
DeRay Davis is a Chicago-born comedian and actor whose Netflix special How to Act Black (2017) was so popular it crashed the Netflix servers twice. He is known for his streetwise humor, fearless storytelling, and a live show that stays fresh and ever-changing based on his daily life.
He starred as Jermel in Lee Daniels’ Empire on FOX and has appeared in 21 Jump Street, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Semi-Pro, Old Dogs, Life As We Know It, and Imagine That. With 32+ film and 50+ TV credits, he has starred opposite Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy, and Robin Williams. He also has a Showtime special DeRay Davis: Power Play and can be seen on FX’s Snowfall.
He won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition, appeared at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, and has been a fixture on Wild ‘N Out, Hip-Hop Squares, and Short Circuitz.

About the Venue
Arlington Improv is located in the Highlands Shopping Center in Arlington, TX, across from Torchy’s Tacos. It is an intimate comedy club featuring a full bar and restaurant where guests enjoy world-renowned and local comics in a lively, up-close setting.
The venue also hosts Black Dog Pizza Arcade, a full-scale free-play retro arcade featuring more than 30 local craft beers. Seating is assigned based on date of purchase. A 2-item food or beverage minimum per person applies once seated, and there is an 18% service charge on all checks in the showroom.

DeRay Davis delivers a full headlining stand-up set packed with his signature streetwise humor, fearless personal stories, and the kind of raw energy that has made him one of the most entertaining comedians working today. No two shows are the same.
