About the Performer
Chinedu Unaka is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who has quickly become one of the most exciting voices in comedy today.
He has been featured on Don’t Tell Comedy, Comedy Central Presents, and the Arsenio Hall Show (Netflix is a Joke). His acting credits include guest roles on hit TV shows like Abbott Elementary and Insecure, as well as the feature film House Party.
His debut comedy album “Mostly Kidding” debuted at #1 on iTunes, and he co-hosts the award-winning podcast “Nosy Neighbors.” Timeout LA recognized him as “A Comic to Watch,” and he has toured globally alongside comedy heavyweights including Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Damon Wayans Jr., and Yvonne Orji.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chinedu started doing stand-up while studying at UCSB. He later earned a Master’s in Education from Loyola Marymount and worked as a public school special education teacher before pursuing comedy full-time. His smooth delivery and engaging style make him a crowd favorite wherever he performs.
