About the Performer

is a stand-up comic, actor, and Emmy-nominated writer best known as the host and executive producer of HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay, a weekly late-night series.

She is a two-time Emmy nominee and WGA Award nominee for her writing on Saturday Night Live. Sam debuted her first one-hour stand-up special Sam Jay: 3 in the Morning on Netflix in 2020, and her next special Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me premiered on HBO.

Sam has appeared in the Kenya Barris-directed Netflix film You People alongside Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and co-created the Peacock series Bust Down. She was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch and a Comedy Central Comic to Watch.
